Ninja Camps

Learn Skills, Make Friends, Play Games! Camps have always been one of the best ways for kids to be introduced to and advance in this new sport of ninja obstacles. Throughout the week campers will learn special techniques on obstacles from professional ninja athletes in our classes, practice what they learned and/or explore new obstacles at their pace with our optional achievement system that rewards intentional goal setting and deliberate practice, and at the end of the week put all their new skills to the test on a full course run with their new friends cheering them on.

Our camps have always been one of the most fun offerings we have! Throughout the day campers will learn obstacles during class time, have free time to practice what they learned and explore new obstacles, play ninja games/do ninja challenges, or do some stretching/yoga. We'll have have courses set up for them to run with a buzzer at the end! It's amazing seeing how fast they can push their times.

Full day campers will have two breaks and a lunch, we don't supply any food. During break we will play different themed videos, all ninja related. During lunch we watch Disney or Netflix movies rated PG or lower.

Camp Hours

​Full day: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Morning (AM) half day: 8:30am - 11:30pm

Afternoon (PM) half day: 12:30pm - 3:30pm

You can drop off 10 minutes early (8:20am or 12:20pm). 
We do offer extended care in the form of our Beginner class at 4pm.
We also have Open Gym each Tues, Thurs, and Fri.
If your child is staying after camp for a class, they are welcome to stay at the gym from 3:30 to 4:00.
They will be given activities to do at their break table and supervised while we set up for class.

With camps, you can book individual drop-ins for all days online.

Traverse Coach-In-Training (CIT) Program

 

The goal of our CIT program is to prepare campers with leadership development while also allowing them the opportunity to improve their own skills as ninjas. Under the supervision of an experienced Traverse Coach, CITs will help lead group activities, demonstrate obstacles, and role model having a positive mindset for all camp participants.
 

  • This opportunity is open to campers ages 12-15.

  • Experience in obstacle sports and previous Traverse camps
    is highly valued, but not required - all are welcome to apply!

How it Works:

During each week-long summer session, CITs will learn to assist our coaches in running camp throughout the day. CITs will arrive 15 minutes early and stay an extra 15 minutes for daily coach “huddles” that allow for planning, goal setting, and review, all guided by our experienced staff. CITs also earn access to bonus activities throughout the week, such as exclusive "CIT Team" training sessions on the obstacles at lunchtime, special roles for our games day each Thursday, and the chance to help design and set up our Friday obstacle courses. We can't wait to see how much our CITs take advantage of these leadership, team building, and skill growth opportunities!

 

Application Process: 

To apply, first sign up for the week(s) of camp that work for your schedule via the links above, then complete the CIT application via the link below.
 

Applicants signed up for full-day camp may choose to do either full-day CIT, or half-day as a CIT and the other half as a camp participant, if they want to get both experiences.
 

Accepted CITs will earn a 20% refund in camp fees for full-day CITs, and a 10% refund for part-time CITs. Depending on the number of applicants this summer, CITs may be limited to 3 week sessions each to allow for others to gain experience; and while every effort will be made to accommodate applicants, there is no guarantee that every CIT will get the space they have requested. The greater camp participants we have for each session, the greater amount of CITs we can approve. At our leadership's discretion, approved CITs may need to be added to or subtracted from each session based on the amount of participants. Interested? Click the button below to sign-up.
